Overview

VoiceClone TTS ("the Extension") is a Twitch Extension that allows viewers to send text-to-speech messages to streamers. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Information We Collect

Twitch Account Data

When you open the Extension, Twitch gives us:

• An anonymous Twitch identifier and the Channel ID of the stream you are watching
• Only if you choose to share your Twitch ID: your Twitch User ID. We use it to look up your public Twitch display name from Twitch.

The Extension asks you to share your Twitch ID before you can send a message or create a voice, because your display name is shown with everything you submit. We do not receive your Twitch password, email address, or other private account details.

User-Generated Content

• Text Messages: Your message is converted to audio and shown with your display name on the stream overlay and in the Extension, and may be posted to the channel's chat with your display name.
• Voice Clones: Audio you upload, or audio downloaded from a link you provide, is converted and sent to our voice providers to create the voice. We keep the voice, a reference sample of the audio, the voice name, and your Twitch User ID and display name so the voice is always shown with the person who added it.
• Messages and voices waiting for approval: A broadcaster can choose to approve viewer messages and new voices before they are published. While a message waits, we keep its text, the generated audio, the voice used, your Twitch User ID and display name, and the amount of Bits used. While a voice waits, it is hidden from everyone and kept as described above. The broadcaster, and their moderators if the broadcaster allows it, can read and listen to what is waiting so they can approve or reject it.

People Whose Voices Are Cloned

A clip used to create a voice contains the voice of the person speaking in it, who may not be the person who submitted it. Our Terms of Service only allow cloning your own voice or a voice you have the speaker's permission to use. If your voice was cloned without your permission, email us at the address below and we will delete the voice and its reference audio. Broadcasters can also remove any voice on their channel.

Bits Transactions

Bits are handled by Twitch. We never see or store billing details. We keep the Twitch transaction ID of each Bits transaction so it can only be used for one message. If a message fails to play, or the broadcaster rejects it, we keep a record so you can send another message without using more Bits.

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information solely to:

• Authenticate your session with Twitch
• Show your display name with the messages and voices you submit
• Process your text-to-speech and voice cloning requests
• Confirm Bits transactions
• Deliver audio to the streamer's broadcast

Data Sharing

We share data only with the services needed to run the Extension:

• Voice providers (Fish Audio, ElevenLabs, Mistral AI): receive message text and voice clone audio to generate speech and create voices.
• Language and transcription providers (Groq, xAI): receive message text to add speaking style cues, and voice clone audio to transcribe it.
• Twitch: Bits transactions, display name lookups, and chat messages go through Twitch's APIs.

Each provider handles data under its own privacy policy. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Data Retention

• A message that plays right away is not stored after the audio is delivered. Server logs used for troubleshooting may include the beginning of a message.
• A message waiting for approval is kept until the broadcaster or a moderator approves or rejects it, and is deleted then. An approved message plays on stream; a rejected one never plays.
• Voice clones, their reference audio, and who added them are kept until the broadcaster removes the voice, it is rejected while waiting for approval, it is removed at your or the speaker's request, or it is removed to stay within provider limits.
• Bits transaction IDs and resend records are kept so a transaction cannot be reused.

Children's Privacy

This Extension is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request information about data we hold about you
• Request deletion of your data, including voices you added
• Opt out of using the Extension at any time

Broadcasters can remove any voice on their channel from the Extension's configuration page, and can reject any message or voice that is waiting for approval.
